Apple has been sending out invites for their autumn product launch event later next week in San Francisco. Without confirming any details, Apple traditionally announces their new iPhone models at its annual event and new products such as the Apple watch or a new laptop is also slated to be announced.
Apple has sold over 213 million iPhones in the last financial year; however, their sales have been slumping compared to previous iPhone sales. Latest leaks suggest that the new iteration will not have a headphone jack and will also have a bigger camera lens. Steve Wozniak, founder of Apple suggested that a move to remove the headphone jack is “going to tick off a lot of people”. “I have cars where you can plug in the music, or go through Bluetooth, and Bluetooth just sounds so flat for the same music,”.
Apple is currently dealing with a lawsuit brought by users of iPhone 6 and 6 Plus who have pointed out that a defect in the design causes their touch screen to become unusable. Apple has been aware of the defect which normally happens when a grey bar appears on top of the touch screen. Apple has refused to address this issue which led to the lawsuit in the first place.
